Most couples I photograph aren't big posers. In fact, most of them, like me, don't particularly enjoy being photographed at all.
That's absolutely fine. There's no pressure to perform or do anything in particular. You really do get to forget about the photos and enjoy your wedding.
I'm not there to run your wedding, interrupt what's happening or disappear with you for an hour while everyone else is having all the fun.
For around 95% of the day, I let things happen and photograph them as they do. Family photos and a few photographs together? Absolutely. We'll usually get them done in around 10-15 minutes.
Then you're straight back to your wedding.
Being hands-off doesn't mean I'm just standing around waiting for something to happen.
I'm constantly watching - for the big emotions, the little in-between moments, great light, interesting compositions and all the stuff happening around you that you didn't even notice.
I won't impose a template or certain look on your wedding. I'll photograph what makes your day yours, creatively and as it really happened, so the photos don't just show how it looked - they bring back how it felt.
I'm Stan - photographer, dad of two mini tornadoes and someone who gets far too excited whenever there's a camera in my hands.
When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll usually find me out looking for wildlife with a ridiculously big lens, training kickboxing, at the gym, or drinking enough green tea to keep the industry afloat.
I'm naturally much happier observing what's going on than being the centre of attention, which probably explains how I ended up photographing weddings the way I do. I love people, little interactions and all the weird, funny, fleeting stuff that happens when you put everyone you care about in one place.
I'd love to show you these 6 weddings I recently photographed. Take a look at them and get a feel for what your gallery might look like.

It’s been an incredible journey. Alongside being a Regional Finalist and Best Newcomer Shortlist at TWIA, I was also named in the Top 40 photographers worldwide for 2025 with This Is Reportage and Top 10 with Photographers Keeping it Real - something I’m genuinely blown away by.
Huge thank you to every couple who trusted me and helped make this possible.
