The Experience and My Approach
Quality over Quantity - I mean it!
I’m not a volume shooter. And I rarely do weddings back to back. I want to be the best version of myself at every wedding I photograph and give every couple 100% of me, so I don’t typically shoot more than 30 weddings a year.
Getting married in Kent? I always stay longer at local weddings!
It might be a cliché, but I don’t want you to feel like I’m just a supplier at your wedding. I’d love for you to feel like I’m just a friend with a camera, so I love meeting couples at my home in Folkestone for a cuppa and a chat before their wedding.

Do you travel?
It's one of the things we can't control so we just need to accept it and make the most out of it. You’ve probably chosen a venue you love, and if it rains, we’ll make the best use of the indoor spaces. For couple time, we can either embrace the rain and create some truly unique—and yes, quite wet—images, or use brollies to keep things dry. Either way, rain often adds a beautiful, memorable touch to your photos!

I photograph weddings literally everywhere. I’m based in Kent and I don’t add on any travel expenses for weddings in Kent, London, Surrey, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire or Berkshire. If you’re getting married outside of this area, do get in touch; the travel expenses I add on are literally as much as I need to cover my fuel and a night at the cheapest Premier Inn near your venue.

My gallery and slideshow turnaround time is 3 to 6 weeks from your wedding.

Yes! I love previews. I’m fully aware 3 to 6 weeks is a looong time to wait for a photo from your wedding, so I normally send couples 20-30 previews a couple of days after the wedding.

Absolutely. I love couple photos. My approach during couple time is very very similar to the rest of the day. We go for a wander at your favourite part of the venue (or near the venue) and I photograph you as you are. The most I’ll ever say to you is “hey, the light over there looks amazing, could you have a moment there” and we end up with lovely natural couple images like the ones you’ve seen on my website.

Yes - although you can probably guess they aren’t my favourite part of the day as they aren’t exactly documentary photography, family photos are an important tradition for some, and I respect that. I limit these to 6-8 groups, which keeps it nice and quick (and doesn’t turn your wedding into a photoshoot), and at the same time, is enough to include all the VIPs.

It hasn't happened before and I hope it never happens (touch wood!) but in the unlikely event that it does, I have a network of photographers who can step in and help out if needed.
